Anyone can create a token with any name and logo in minutes. Scammers copy popular names, then wait for people to buy the wrong one. Others pretend to be support staff and ask for your recovery phrase.
Check the contract address, not the name
Every real token has one contract address. Get it from the project's official website and compare it, character by character, with the one shown in your wallet or on the exchange before you swap. For $ALPHA the address is 0x743f798dd6dd9c8baa243b83d873da569ed74444 on BNB Chain.
Nobody genuine will message you first
- Real support never asks for your recovery phrase or private key. Anyone who does is a scammer.
- Alpha Pride never messages people first to sell tokens.
- Be wary of links in direct messages, even from accounts that look official.
If something went wrong
If you have shared your recovery phrase, assume the wallet is compromised. Move what is left to a new wallet with a new phrase straight away.
